Main Responsiblities

As Senior Accountant, Moe is responsible for providing direct support to the comptroller from the daily accounting operations through the monthly and annual closings up to financial statements. She maintains a proper accounting and internal control system for all funds of SAC, as well as prepares internal and external financial reports and statements according to SAC, the government and donor schedules and requirements.

In addition, she reviews, inputs and reconciles field reports, and ensures timely wire transfers to field offices in SAC program countries.

Background

Moe has over ten years of international work experience in the financial realm, working for such institutions as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Burma, Audrich International Pte Ltd in Singapore, and The Burma Fund in Washington, D.C.

She is qualified in preparing full sets of accounts from journal and ledger entries to month-end and year-end financial statements, budget preparation, budget vs. actual financial statements, payroll, cash flow statements, bank reconciliation, payable and receivable reconciliation, investment recording and reconciliation, and fixed assets depreciation.

Moe is proficient in several computerized accounting software programs, such as Great Plain Dynamics with FRX, Quickbooks, ACCPAC, Tradepac, and FOAS which is exclusively used by the UNHCR.

Education

Moe received a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting from the Institute of Economics in Rangoon, Burma in 1987, and received her MBA in Accounting and Finance from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2002.

She is certified in Cost Accounting and Statistics from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and has completed up to the intermediate level of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in the U.K.
