The US
Department of State (USDOS) funded an
Advance Survey Mission (ASM). The ASM was
conducted in May of 2001. The Mine
Action Program (MAP) at Vietnam
Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF)
has deployed international staff in Vietnam
to commence preparations for the regional
survey that is the precursor for the Landmine
Impact Survey (LIS).
The US
DOS has provided funding for the Vietnam
Survey.
