Addis Ababa, 31-Jan-2004


On Saturday, January 31st, a ceremony was held in Addis Ababa with the ELIS field Teams teams from Tigray, Afar, Oromiya and the rest of the country. In total 120 people came to mark the end of the field survey part of the Ethiopian Landmine Impact survey. During this occasion all staff received a completion certificate for their participation in the survey.
 
 

Jijiga, 1-Feb-2004


On Sunday, February 1st, ELIS held a ceremony in Jijiga to mark the closure of the Ethiopian Landmine Impact Survey in the Somali Regional State. Despite security problems the ELIS has been able to cover almost the entire Region apart from two weredas close to the Somali border.
